Adam Miles Christoper Bell was a friend of mine at school and soon after we left he became more active with his writing than ever before, especially on his wattpad account. He has often came to me for advice on titles and just writing in general after I recieved my publishing contract for Children of the Movement in 2014.

“I love writing stories and have been trying to write since I was 7 years old, which is when I came up with my first story idea. Ever since then I have been coming up with new ideas but have never got to writing them into an actual story. However, recently I started to get into it again and have started writing many stories. My two favorites being A World Reborn and A Demon Within.” – Adam’s Wattpad bio

Lately, his account has been gaining some heat with readers seeming to be pouring in for his novel “A World Reborn“. The novel has 4 parts so far and is still a working progress.

Synopsis and cover:

64686388-176-k456815“Nothing and no-one is safe anymore. This world is no longer our own and everyday we must hide from the dangers of the threat that now walks these lands.

Only one native dares to stand up against the Invasion. But he will not do it alone.

When the world is being taken from you, the only way to fight back is by breaking the rules, even your own personal ones. The world is being attacked by Invaders. However THESE invaders may just be a little more familiar than you may think…”

This is a little disappointing but I hope you understand…

As you all know, in exactly 2 weeks time I had my heart set on releasing my new novel: The Price Of Fabulous…

This is now going to be postponed until later this year. I am going to explain the reasons why, let’s just hope you can understand them.

The book is in the finishing stages and is on track for release but unfortunately I have had a dramatic relapse in mental health with regards to my anxiety and depression through personal events that were unforeseen until I came home from finishing my first year at BCU.

The reason why I want to postpone the release is because I don’t feel like I am well enough to do my best promotional work while I seek the medical attention I require.

I also have become more aware that I have slacked off with my blogging so I will do the best I can to pick it back up again and hopefully I will have a new release date for you soon.

Thank you!

Big News for my Writing Career!

On the 23rd of March 2017, it will mark 1 year since the release of my first novel – Children of the Movement. Exciting stuff right?

cover

Children of the Movement was a book that I had poured my heart and soul into for years and when I finally held it in my hands after signing the contract to have it published it honestly felt like I had achieved every dream I have had since I was a child.

My cousin, Courtney Greener designed the cover which is something we wanted to do together since childhood and now I have found out that it’s in Waterstones! How amazing!

Synopsis: A world brainwashed into following the wrong moral as children are starved of the imagination to believe anything different. Bethany-Anne begins her journey of self-discovery with help from friends she meets in and around the prison-like sector that she once called home. No one is safe to dream what they want to dream or love who they want to love… until the movement begins.

So, with that being said, here is another exciting announcement, I will be releasing my new novel “The Price of Fabulous” on 04/06/2017 to mark my sister’s birthday in honour of her giving the book it the amazing title.

Synopsis:

“The story you are about to witness is not a happy one. It’s more of a struggle, really. It’s a journey into womanhood but the path we were forced upon isn’t pretty. I’m Kayla Charis, by the way, and this is the story of me and my younger sister, Georgia and how we became who we are.

Mum was a good woman but her infatuations with men were the problem. They were the monsters we feared in the dark. Nothing was coming out of our wardrobes or from under our beds to scare us in the night. They came from the next room whenever they pleased.

Mum was married to her job but she had many sordid affairs with less than worthy gentlemen. It was these men that were responsible for this story. They do not deserve a thank you.”

Sunday Rewrites #3 – Finding My Wings

Synopsis – It’s normal to feel like you don’t belong especially in your teenage years but not from the whole planet. Could you imagine making this discovery about yourself?

Reason for rewriting – It was written for a writing competition 3 years ago so I thought I’d patch it up.

Read it here –Finding My Wings

Sunday Rewrites #2 – Cut The Love From My Arms

Synopsis: Merrissa: The red-haired outcast. Daniel: The clinically depressed. They meet one day having both lost someone. They begin to fall in love but Danny’s selfish actions bring out Tammy’s rage. Everyone says things they don’t mean in the heat of the moment but her words come at a price.

The reason for rewriting: There were too many grammatical errors from when I wrote it 4 years ago but I loved this story when I wrote it so I wanted to keep it going strong.

SHOUT TO MY FELLOW NERDS – SAVE CARDIFF’S DOCTOR WHO EXPERIENCE

As if it wasn’t obvious… I’m a nerd and let me just tell you that Doctor Who has been a huge part of my life. I love it. Even when I was a kid, all I would look forward to is to sit with my Gran on a Saturday night and watch Doctor Who – and yes, sometimes when I was a tiny tot I did have nightmares from it but I’d cry and cry if my mother threatened to stop me from watching it.

I don’t know if many of you have been to a Doctor Who experience but I have and loved it but the one I went to closed shortly after. That’s why I’m shouting to my fellow Whovian community to save Cardiff’s Doctor Who experience.

“Ok, I admit: this sounds daft and there are many, many more important things out there we should be petitioning for or against. But not only is ‘Doctor Who’ a global institution, Cardiff’s ‘Doctor Who Experience’ brings much in the way of tourism to an otherwise socioeconomically deprived area, gives local people jobs, does much to improve the economy…and let’s face it: in these dark post-Brexit days, we all need some escapism.” – Bex Ferriday
